Customer Support Agent (Technical Support – Fleet Management/Telematics)

About the Job
Job Summary:
SamTech is looking for a proactive and technically skilled Customer Support Agent to provide post-sales support for our fleet management and telematics solutions. This role involves system monitoring, troubleshooting, customer interaction, and coordination with field technicians, ensuring seamless service delivery and high customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide after-sales technical support to customers via phone, email, and on-site visits. 
  • Monitor and ensure proper functionality of tracking systems and devices
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, escalating when necessary. 
  • Coordinate with customers and technicians for: 
    • Installations 
    • Maintenance 
    • Removals 
    • Transfers 
  • Manage daily scheduling and ensure efficient service execution. 
  •  Configure and validate units to ensure accurate system reporting. Maintain records and update activities in the ERP/CRM system
  • Prepare and share service reports with customers. 
  • Conduct training sessions for new and existing clients. 
  • Report chargeable activities in line with customer contracts.
 
Skills & Competencies:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, IT, or related field
  •  Minimum 2 years of experience in technical/customer support 
  •  Experience in fleet management, GPS tracking, or telematics solutions is preferred 
  •  Strong troubleshooting skills (hardware & software) 
  •  Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  •  Ability to manage schedules and coordinate field teams 
  •  Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, IT, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in technical support, preferably in fleet management, telematics, or IoT solutions.
